Specials that land between the Gatornationals and the first freeze
Cook's runs a handful of offers a year, timed to the Alachua County calendar rather than a national ad buy. This page explains how they work; the current ones are confirmed by phone.

The three windows when offers tend to appear
Gainesville’s HVAC year has natural pauses, and that is when a promotion makes sense for both sides.
Late winter, after the Gatornationals and before the pollen. Mid-March is the last quiet stretch before the oaks turn the air yellow and the first 85-degree days arrive in May. A maintenance or tune-up offer here is really about getting coils washed before pollen season.
Early fall, after hurricane season’s peak. September and October bring the lull between the last heat and the first freeze. Replacement offers often run now, when an install can be scheduled on a cool day and finished before December.
Student turnover. Early August, when thousands of leases near UF roll over at once, is when landlords want every unit checked before move-in. Multi-unit maintenance offers tend to appear here.
What’s running right now
For the current offers, call. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]] We don’t post a promotion on this page until it has a start date, an end date and plain terms, and the office will read you the live list when you call. Anything you decide to use gets written on the proposal or the invoice so there is no arguing about it later.
The terms that don’t expire
Some things are true in every month and need no coupon: estimates on new systems are free; emergency calls at night, on weekends and on holidays carry no extra charge; financing with low monthly payments is available on new high-efficiency equipment; and our work comes with a satisfaction guarantee. If a competitor’s “special” is just one of those dressed up, you already have it from us.
Using an offer alongside financing or a utility rebate
An offer from Cook’s, a rebate from GRU or Clay Electric and a monthly payment plan are three different levers, and on a replacement they can usually all be pulled. The order matters: the offer reduces the price, the utility rebate reduces it further or arrives later depending on the program, and financing spreads what’s left. Jerry lays them out on one page so a Haile Plantation homeowner replacing a 1990s system can see exactly what each one is worth.
How offers apply here
Will you honor an offer on a rental property I don't live in?
Yes. Offers apply to the address being serviced, not to where the owner sleeps. Landlords with units near campus are some of the biggest users of our pre-August maintenance specials.
Can an offer be combined with GRU's gas-conversion rebate?
Usually, because the rebate comes from the utility and the offer comes from us; they aren’t competing for the same dollar. We’ll show both on the proposal. Ask whether a particular offer excludes stacking. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]]
Do your specials apply in Alachua and Newberry, or just inside Gainesville city limits?
Anywhere on the Gainesville route board, from Alachua on US 441 to Micanopy and out to Hawthorne. The drive doesn’t change the offer.
